One Year Anniversary of Sage!
We are approaching our one year anniversary of Sage Solutions! It has been a wonderful year of growth for us and our work. We have been grateful for the diversity of requests for our services including grant writing, program evaluation planning and implementation, and GIS mapping, which has really highlighted our diversity of talents and interests.
Over the last several months we have welcomed several new partners (links to each of our partner websites can be found at Clients & Partners).
Some of our newest partnerships include:
JVA Consulting in their work with the Susan G. Komen Foundation – Colorado Chapter
From start to finish, JVA works with social innovators to identify challenges, come up with solutions and make sure they have a lasting effect on communities. JVA hired Sage Solutions on their work with the Susan G. Komen affiliates in Colorado to make statewide maps using GIS of demographics and service delivery related to under and uninsured women.
Girls on the Run – Colorado
Girls on the Run is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Their curricula address all aspects of girls’ development – their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Sage Solutions is currently working on a program evaluation for GOTR.
The Children’s Treehouse Foundation
The Children’s Treehouse Foundation is the nation’s only organization providing hospital-based, cancer-focused, psychosocial intervention training and programming dedicated to improving the emotional health of children whose parents have cancer. Sage Solutions is doing grant writing and preparing a program evaluation for this Foundation.
Washington Park Cares
The mission of Washington Park Cares is to help neighborhood seniors connect with services and resources to continue life on their own terms, with dignity and independence, in their own homes. Wash Park Cares has recently hired Sage Solutions to complete a seniors needs assessment in the neighborhood.
A Capitol Hill LGBT Community Collaborative
We have joined in partnership with several local organizations to assess the needs of the LGBT senior population in the Capitol Hill community. An ad-hoc workgroup of representatives from over 6 health and human service community organizations are part of this endeavor and Sage Solutions is looking forward to working with them to accomplish their goals.
A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm
Sage Solutions assisted this woman owned and operated farm in located Western Foothills of the White Mountains of Maine to obtain their first Farms for the Future business assistance grant. The operators of this farm have a mission to serve as a role model for other small farm business owners and create a space for learning and personal growth for those who visit. This pro-bono contract by Sage Solutions was a true labor of love!
We look forward to continuing this work and forging new partnerships as we head into our second year in business.
